Announcements

  • 2020-04-23 COVID-19 Bishop Fabbro Update #7
In an update posted today, Bishop Fabbro has announced that churches in the Diocese will remain closed until the end of May, unless we're advised by the province or local health authourities that a limited resumption of activity would be safe before that time. https://dol.ca/news/covid-19-coronavirus-update-7.

Our communities remain strong. Parishes are working hard to stay in touch with parishioners. We've added resources for the faithful to https://dol.ca/outreach including online Masses, publications, activities, prayers and readings.

If you know someone who doesn't have internet, let their local parish know so they can reach out. You can find our parishes at https://dol.ca/parishfinder. Or, send a note to communications@dol.ca.

Join us in our "We are a house of prayer and service" campaign. Details at https://dol.ca/outreach#prayer.

Your local Society of Saint Vincent de Paul might need help. You can find your local Particular Council at this link http://ssvp.on.ca/en/particularcouncil.php.

    2020-03-16 COVID-19 Bishop Fabbro Update #3
At the direction of Bishop Fabbro, all weekday Masses throughout the Diocese of London cease immediately.

Further directives will be released tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17.

    2020-03-14 COVID-19 Bishop Fabbro Update #2
Some Medical Officers of Health across the region are banning gatherings of 250 people or more. In light of this and the continuing concern for the health and safety of our parishioners, Bishop Fabbro announced at 2:30 p.m. today that all Masses shall be cancelled for this weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation and consult with public health officials to determine the course of action for next weekend and any subsequent weekend. For this weekend and as long as necessary, Bishop Fabbro grants the faithful dispensation from their Sunday obligation. Churches should remain open for private prayer and Eucharistic Adoration. Daily Mass will continue during the week. All other directions given yesterday by Bishop Fabbro remain in effect at weekday Masses, with the additional direction to ensure proper “social distancing,” maintaining a 2 metre distance from others as a precaution.
